Kim Cermak
MBSR & Heart Math Instructor
Kim Cermak's Story
Kim Cermak received training in teaching Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at the Myrna Brind Center for Mindfulness at Thomas Jefferson University. She teaches mindfulness to groups and individuals in medical, wellness and corporate settings. In addition, as a trainer, group facilitator and presenter who specializes in cross-cultural communication, she incorporates mindfulness in her training programs as an entry point for self-reflection; before understanding another person from a cultural perspective, the journey of exploring one’s own cultural values and communication process is needed. Mindfulness principles help training participants stop running on autopilot and discover new ways of being in the world, which are more useful and helpful for creating inclusive spaces where people of all backgrounds can thrive. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Kim also received her HeartMath Clinical Certification for Stress, Anxiety, and Emotional Management from HeartMath, LLC and the Institute for Better Health. She coaches individuals in medical settings to use bio-feedback techniques to help them connect with their breath and heart to manage stress and learn to regulate their emotions.
